February 28 is National Tooth Fairy Day!

Great things come in twos! Every year, National Tooth Fairy Day happens twice a year—once in February and once in August. It's great we can celebrate twice a year because lids lose their primary teeth (also affectionately called baby teeth) at different times of the year from around age 6 until approximately age 12. For a chart on how primary teeth erupt and approximately when they are lost, take a look at this chart from the American Dental Association on MouthHealthy.org.
Primary teeth begin erupting around 6 months of age which means that it's critical to properly care for a child's primary teeth early and continue doing so.
