Megan
Dental Hygienist
Dental Hygienist
Megan was born in Seattle, Washington and has lived in Spokane for over ten years. While attending EWU’s running start program, Megan worked as a sterilization technician here at Grand Corner Dental. In 2017, she was trained in office and received her license as a Registered Dental Assistant and continued in that career for four and a half years. Though she loved her work, Megan’s ultimate goal has always been to help prevent disease and keep her patients happy with their smile; that’s why she attended Eastern Washington University’s Dental Hygiene Program and graduated with the class of 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene.
What’s your favorite place to smile in Spokane?
Megan’s favorite place to smile in Spokane is Manito Park on the South Hill. Whether people watching in Duncan Gardens or pretending that she has a green thumb after walking through the Rose Garden, Manito Park is always a relaxing and inspiring place.
If you were a dental instrument what would you be and why?
Air/water syringe, because it's not scary, but simply refreshing, and patients appreciate it.
Why dentistry?
It’s fun, and I’m very good at what I do. I enjoy connecting and sharing my life with others, and I appreciate how so many patients are willing to do the same with me. Their open communication, and trust in the care I'm able to provide, make my time, away from my family, fulfilling and worthwhile in other ways! I learn a lot about "life" from my patients all the time, which is a daily reward, in itself, as a practicing Dental Hygienist.
